I have learnt right ways to interact with my peers, teachers, friends and family members. I have also become aware of mental health and different ways I can take care of my mental health.
I really love the Life Skills classes — they’re so fun and different every time! We do activities that help me think, talk, and work better with my friends. I feel more confident and happy when I solve problems on my own. It’s the best part of my week and I always look forward to it!
I have learnt to deal with peer pressure and manage my anger better. I am now aware of how to get away from negative situations, use right strategies to manage my anger.
I have learnt about how I can start being responsible, manage my time better and ways to deal with stress. I have also learnt to create my study time table and my career plan.
I have learnt about what is good for my over all development. I liked the exercises to stay happy and take care of my mental health. I enjoyed the story too.
I like learning about feelings in Life Skills class because it helps me understand whats going on inside me. Now I know its okay to feel sad or angry, and I can calm down by taking deep breaths or talking to someone. We do fun stories and games that show us how to be kind and solve problems. I feel happier and braver because I know how to handle my big feelings!
The career exploration sessions in Life Skills have really opened my eyes to so many options.I learned how my interests and strengths can match with different career paths.It helped me think seriously about what I enjoy and how to plan for my future.I feel more prepared and motivated to make choices that align with who I am.
My daughters skills are improving, she is become self-aware day by day. We never had these classes during our school days, I like this new concept focused on helping children with skills.
